Fireboy Xintex automatic marine engine shutdown systems meet requirements for diesel engines. Conventional compressed gas suppressants will not stall a diesel engine. If fire breaks out aboard a diesel powered vessel, the engine must be shut down immediately. Continued operation may remove the agent, creating the possibility of re-ignition. Fireboy engine shutdown systems respond automatically when the system discharges.
Each shutdown system includes a display unit with integrated alarm horn, charged/discharged lights, and an override switch for restart or control of auto-shutdown. System includes two individual relays for propulsion engines for redundancy. 12 VDC.
