2012-12-21ROGER HINSDALE: Alan, The front of the louvers are 3.5" wide. They are almost flat on the top as they are only raised (opening) about 1/8". In other words, they have a low profile opening. Hope this helps................Roger H.
2012-12-21THAYNE OLASO: The actual vent area is about 4 1/2" by 3 1/2". I'd say the angle is about 20 degrees and raised up 1/8 to 3/16 of an inch above the surface

2012-04-06FRANKLIN BEVERIDGE: The thickness of the Whitecap Stainless Steel Flat Louvered Vent which I received is 0.105 or a steel gauge of 31.
2012-04-07JENS MOLLER: I used one of the 5x9 inch vents on the back door of my Sprinter van to hook up ducting for a portable air conditioner vent - worked out great.- I did put screen between it and the door to keep bugs out. It looks like 22 gauge and its quite stiff - not very flexible at all.
I used emory cloth to soften the edges and then painted it white to matgh my van. I did not want to deal with rust. I have another on going on for the battery bank vent - due to be put next month.

I do not know the thickness i would guess .05 inches ( 3/64) but these are nice and sturdy. I had purchased thin aluminum elsewhere and were junk. These are high quality. I used these as vent covers for a vintage travel trailer.

This polished SS vent is a good looking, easy to mount vent. All you need is a cutout behind it and a few SS mounting screws. Mounts very flat with almost nothing sticking out to catch clothing etc. Not a bad passive vent. The louver design sheds rain pretty well. I mounted a small blower behind it to vent the engine box.
