I bought this kit just to get the crimper; the good assortment of heat shrink connectors is a bonus.
I found that dual-crimp crimper like the Ancor #701030 only works for largest wire size for which the terminal is designed. For instance, a "yellow" terminal (for #12 or #10) wire gives a good crimp on the dual-crimp Ancor tool with the larger #10 wire, but a loose crimp with the smaller, #12 wire. The single-crimp tool that comes with this kit, however, works with all the wire sizes for which the terminal is designed: even #22 wire in "red" terminals (for #22 to #18 AWG). It also works with uninsulated terminals.
The crimper in this kit gives a good, tight crimp that passes the "tug on it hard" test every time.
The good selection of quality heat-shrink terminals is a bonus.
