What makes the cover desirable is that it is the only available cover I've found that will hold the chartkits. Map Tech shorted the consumer on the quality. The plastic is durable enough, but the seams are not, and fail after a single season. It needs a durable tape stitched along the edges to reinforce the seams, and grommets could then be added to secure it in place on a small boat. They do the job, but could do the job better.
