Vetus Waterlocks Type LP

Vetus Type LP waterlocks quiet engine noise, lower exhaust gas temperature, and prevent exhaust cooling water from backing into the engine. These fully synthetic exhaust mufflers are for marine water-injected wet exhaust systems.

Waterlocks collect cooling water left in the exhaust hose when the engine is turned off, and should be installed at the lowest point of the exhaust line.

Vetus synthetic waterlocks should be installed with an Exhaust Temperature Alarm to safeguard against cooling water failure.
Larger capacity waterlock versions are available for longer exhaust hose runs. See Vetus Waterlock Type LSS.
Vetus also recommends installing a Gooseneck and Muffler for optimum quiet engine performance and safeguard against water intrusion/ siphoning.
Vetus exhaust hose is best used with Vetus waterlocks to assure proper sizing between port diameters and hose ID.
