2013-05-16BAYLOR SINGLETON asked: Can I get a peice of teak that is actually 7 inches wide and 12inches long to replace a peice on my boat/ I can cut to fi?

2013-05-16WILLIAM BLUME: If the catalog states that dimension is available I don't see why not. However, if the width is not available as a single piece you may have to join two pieces, say with tongue-and-groove to achieve the needed size. If you do not have the tools necessary to do this, I would suggest you take the wood to a cabinet maker who would for a small fee, make the proper cuts for such a joint. The cabinet maker could also clamp and glue the two pieces at the same time to achieve the correct sized piece. Overall it would come out as a very attractive piece of wood work.
2013-05-16GLENN FEILHAUER: Yes, there teak are to size and a nice finish.
2013-05-26RUDY SCHULTZ: i have a single board 1/2" x 5" x approx. 5 ft. want to by it? cost me $92 including shipping

2012-10-02GARRITT TOOHEY: I purchased some teak from Jamestown in order to rebuild a swim platform on the back of my boat. It is an excellent wood for constant water immersion and exposure.
However two cautions: One: it is very expensive. Two: a pool deck is subject to lots of staining. Where people get in and out it will bleach out and age a different color from other areas. Three: unfinished it is subject to lots of staining, red wine, sun lotions, etc.
If you choose to finish it research your selections carefully. A private club near me replaced their deck with teak about six years ago. It still looks good however it is finished and slippery and on hot days very hot on the feet. The main walking path around the pool has been covered with I/O carpet screwed to the deck.

2012-10-02PAUL DAVIS: A teak deck 40' long x 16' wide will cost well over $30,000.00 for materials alone. A deck AROUND a pool of those dimensions could cost more or less depending on how WIDE you want to make it. At only 8' wide the materials will cost over $60,000.00 and that's just the teak decking.
2011-10-07MIKE OJALA asked: I need a piece of teak for a boat transom.
Need 60" long 9 " tall 1 3/4" thick or two boards 3/4" thick.
Can you supply this? What is the price?
Comments about Jamestown Distributors Teak Wood - Marine Teak Lumber:
Will be used as the base for a custom jib traveler track. Beautiful wood; almost hate to cut, glue and drill it. It was pricey, but shipping was free. Now it is $15 less than when I bought mine--what a deal.

Comments about Jamestown Distributors Teak Wood - Marine Teak Lumber:
I bought two of these to make some teak rail seats for our Pearson 34. They arrived quickly enough but the two boards are drastically different color. Now I choose between each seat having two different colors or a different color seat on each side of the boat.
The quality is just fine but I would definitely advise against buying something like this on-line where you can't actually see the stock

Comments about Jamestown Distributors Teak Wood - Marine Teak Lumber:
Used the teak to make skimmer covers for a very large, new swimming pool, to replace not to attractive plastic covers. The teak covers were inserted in antique blue stone. Half of the pool skimmers are done with the one peice of 51/2x1/2 x8 that was delivered, but I need the other 8 footer to finish the job, please expedite, thank you, David Crispell
