The top actuator can be switched out easily when redesigning switch panels or replacing older switches.
Sealed rocker switches lock out water, dust, debris, and resist corrosion. Roller pin mechanism design eliminates the need for lubricants and allows for temperature ratings of -40 degrees to 85 degrees Celsius. They feature a 150,000 cycle endurance rating, and single pole double throw configuration.

2013-06-06JOSEPH AVERSA: You have to press the switch and hold it to the on position, as soon as you let up it is spring loaded back to the off position. Hope this helps.
2013-06-11CHRIS CARMODY: momentary switches require you to manually press/hold the switch in the on position to close the circuit. i.e. a spring will pop it open again when you release the switch.

2011-10-16A shopper asked: I have a 1997 Ebbtide deck boat with this type of rocker switches on the helm control panel. The actual switch cover is made of a type of rubber. This rubber has gotten old, therefore soft and sticky (literally comes off on your finger when you touch them).
Question: Is the cover (part you touch/toggle) available or do you have to buy the entire switch?

LED light in original rocker switch on my boat overheated and melted part of the switch. Replaced it with this product in a total of 10 minutes!! Simple to slide into the old installation slot and the original female connectors slipped right back onto the male connectors of this unit. No wiring diagrams, but connections are intuitively pretty obvious.
