Attwood flush mount padlock eye clamps are rugged, secure locking devices with flip-style handles. They can be used on ice, bait, and tackle boxes that require a draw-down pressure-tight seal. They can also be used on hatches and motor boxes. These clamps accommodate padlocks with 1/4 inch diameter or smaller shackles and measure 4-1/4" x 1-1/2".
The flush mount design conceals mounting screws for clean installations. They feature a chrome finish and mount using standard #8 screws.

I would to close the door and flip the kick panel section over the door section. I hope this makes sense. I saw this latch online but I am not sure how it works. 2012-06-22JAMES BOOTH: It seems to be completely non magnetic and it's very shiny chrome plated. Unfortunately Jamestown charges a really significant handling fee that ended up about 50% of the price.
2012-07-12ROBERT NORRIS: It is NOT stainless steel. They appear to be cast metal with a chrome finish.
I am replacing the previous latches (which were identical). The originals were definitely not stainless steel.... they were broken. But, after thinking about it, I'd rather the latches break than the fibreglass covers.
These latches are for the seat storage covers in a Clackacraft drftboat and not used in salt water.
