2012-08-07JOHN HUNTER: Two brackets bolt yhrough from the bottom of the swim piatform via 8 bolts. If you have a hollow platform you may have to access the inside.
2012-09-01WILLIAM JAMES: Hello Paul,
I haven't installed the ladder yet but plan on installing it under my swim platform (once it is installed).. I'll update when I have them both on the boat and let you know..

2012-06-29A shopper asked: What is the mounting width of the ladder?
+Expand Answers
2012-07-05MICHAEL ARNOLD: Approx: 10" on center of brackets
2012-07-08SAL MUTO: Haven't mounted it yet.
2012-07-09GREG FIELDS: Hello, the width from outer bolt edge to edge is 13", add 1/2" total for the washers. Make sure the under side of your swim deck is flush with the edge of deck, if not the ladder won't raise up to stored position. We used the ladder last weekend and it worked like a champ, weights of about 230ish. Good ladder happy with it so far.
Also, make sure you drill your holes so the bolts go in with little force. I like to drill holes a little small for that type of bolt and nut but in this case the fiberglass was literally cutting/edging the bolt threads. Made the job a pain in the neck until I drilled larger hole!!! Take care and happy boating.

2012-08-05JOHN MCKAY: 14" w. Center to center.
2012-04-29A shopper asked: What is the stowed length and extended length?
+Expand Answers
2012-05-02BlondeFlasher B: Without measuring it, I would estimate that when it is extracted it hangs down at least 36 inches. Then when retracted, it telescopes up to about 14 inches and then swivels up so that it is stowed under the platform paralell with the platform and not hanging down at all. It stows completely out of the way.
2012-05-04ALLEN GAMMONS: I will try to get measurments when I go to the boat this weekend.(still on the hard)
Just wondered, dosen't the catalog give this information?
2012-02-04A shopper asked: how much is the weight limet?
+Expand Answers
2012-02-06RICH LAWLESS: Its not the ladder its how and what you mount it to.
2012-05-02BlondeFlasher B: I don't know but we've had people using it that weigh over 300 lbs and there was no problem, it works fine. You will be happy with it.
2011-07-06BOB EVANS asked: Can the brackets be reversed and secured to the top of the deck rather than the bottom ??
+Expand Answers
2012-05-02BlondeFlasher B: No not this one. But they have another one that is identical to this one but with a little different mounting bracket that is designed to mount on top of a swim platform and then swivel around from the top to hand over the side, and then telescope down, so you'd want to make sure to get that one. :)
Comments about Windline Telescoping Three Step Ladder:
We love this ladder. It is perfect for installation under the hydraulic swim platform on our boat. It is very sturdy. I don't know how much it will support, but I do know that we've had people weighing a LOT use it. My boat captain weights 250 lbs and uses it every weekend and has no trouble with it.
The only negative comment we have is that it sometimes sticks when extending it, but a sharp pull brings it out all the way. We have recommended it to tons of our boating friends.
