Mustang Survival deluxe inflatable PFD with Hydrostatic Inflater Technology. Hydrostatic inflater design guarantees this PFD will not inflate accidentally with a splash of water.
Automatically inflates only when it senses the water pressure by submersion. A firing mechanism instantly inflates the PFD in only 4 inches of water.
No inflater maintenance is required for five years unless fired. Safety inspection window allows users to view the inflater replacement date and inflater status. Green indicates ready for use. This PFD can be worn comfortably over a jacket or sweatshirt. High mobility lightweight design means you'll be wearing this jacket comfortably should an emergency arise! Two colors are available with and without harnesses.

2012-01-17ROBERT OLLERTON: Sorry, it's back ordered and I haven't received it yet. However, it's supposed to be a coast guard approved type V (i.e., hybrid) with type I flotation (i.e., 35 lbs) PFD and is intended for offshore use.

2012-02-15Michael Reardon: USCG categorizes all inflatable pfds as Type V when worn, and whatever Type characteristics they possess when inflated. This PFD is Type 1 when inflated.
