Vulcanizing 3M Scotch-seal 2228 is a rubber mastic tape designed to insulate, pad, and seal bus bar and splice connections. The tape of choice for high voltage applications such as quick and easy insulating, padding and sealing of cables and accessories. Tape is laminated to an Ethylene Propylene Rubber backing that offers excellent moisture resistance. A rubber-based insulating compound lets the tape easily stretch and allow for self-fusing and self-sealing.
