2013-02-28MARION PERRET: The version I use is a Satin which is not flat, but not gloss. It does have a slight sheen if applied with successive coats not allowing full evaporation time between the them. I'd call it similar to a matte finish.

2013-02-28MARION PERRET: I can be used on pvc, however it needs to be sanded to allow a key for the paint to adhere to. Once cured it is non-leeching to it's environment so should be considered safe for that application. Any solvent based product needs ample time to cure before it is considered safe for use as you mentioned.
