Amazon's Golden teak oil preserves and beautifies teak, giving it a warm golden color. Surrounds wood fibers deep below the surface to seal out moisture, maintaining the wood's natural integrity. Untreated teak wood will dry out and crack over time. Amazon Golden teak oil will protect your teak with its non-flammable and environmentally-friendly, biodegradable formulation.

Questions & Answers about Amazon Teak Oil:
2012-07-23A shopper asked: i have four teak patio chairs a bench and table.......how much teak oil to you figure i will need to refinish my furniture?
+Expand Answers
2012-07-24RICHARD HILL: I would guestimate about a quart.
2012-07-24NARDI JAMES: 1 quart is more than sufficient.....apply lightly....be sure furniture is cleaned first.
2012-07-24RALPH C. WALKER: A quart will be plenty and you should have some left over. I used 1/2 quart to refinish a dining room table and a California king teak sleigh bed.
2012-07-24DAVID ROTHFUSS: I bought 32oz. bottles of Teak Cleaner, Prep, and Oil for our two teak Adirondack chairs and small table. This turned out to be MORE than enough. I think the same quantity should work for you as well.
2012-07-25THEODORE BECK: You will not need a gallon for two coats. But you will need to maintain the coatings. I've never bought less than a gallon. I do transfer it into a jar that I can get a foam brush into and carry around easily. A gallon could last you for a few years.
2012-07-26BRIAN SIMS: It has been a while since I used this but I remember if the furniture is dry it will use a lot more oil. Seems like I used one bottle on a table that I was refinishing.
2012-05-22A shopper asked: I have teak salad bowls - can this be used on items that are used for eating?

2012-05-23WILLIAM RADDI: Good question. I don't know if Teak Oil is is compatible with food serving products. However, I would opt for something a little safer, such as canola oil.
2012-05-23RICHARD HILL: I would say not. On the label it states that it contains petroleum distillates and also says it is harmful if swallowed.
2012-05-23THEODORE WERCH: Don"t know. I've used it for years on teak wood used on my boats. I don't know if it's safe for eating utinsels.
2012-05-24CARIBIANA SEA SKIFFS ATTN: BRIAN KROME: This is a fantastic product. Unfortunately, I think its best used on boats and dock furniture. Your best bet is to use a product design specifically designed for butcher blocks and other wooden items commonly found in the kitchen. Bon appetit!
2012-02-22A shopper asked: What are the ingredients of this product? How much oil and what kind
solvents, polyurethanes? What makes it environmentally safe" Any UV, mold or water protection?

2012-02-22ELIZABETH O'LAUGHLIN: I bought this thinking I could use it on my Teak furniture. Turns out it is designed to be used on the wood on boats. I gave it to my friend who has a boat. Not suitable for furniture in the home.
2011-10-12KELLY CHAN asked: does this oil change the color of the teak? i have reclaimed teak flooring and would like to preserve its natural color...

2011-10-13JEAN RAO: Kelly, We used it on teak outdoor benches. After cleaning the benches and allowing them to dry we used the Amazon Teak Oil. I think the benches looked exactly like they did when they were new and I would say it did not change the original color of the bench. Of course in our case they were dirty & weathered from being outside so they looked very different after we were done than from when we started. I think it is a good product.
[...] Reasonable price, easy to use and the results were great. Furniture looks new. Most pleased with results.
