With Tee Nuts you can put a threaded hole wherever you want them! A lot outdoor projects like swing sets garden carts are put together using these. Drill a pilot hole for the body of the nut and then hammer it into place. The objective of course is to install it so that the screw or bolt pulls the nut into the wood.

2013-02-21john lauruhn: can you get half inch screw on t-nuts
2011-11-01RICK STRINGER asked: do you have 1/2" t-nuts?

2011-11-01Ryan L: We do not have the 1/2" t-nuts at this time.
2011-10-31GENE BAUGH asked: Looking at your picture, the threads don't appear to be full depth. Do the threads meet eng stds? What are the full specs?
+Expand Answers
2011-10-31JEFF YOUNG: The bolts thread all the way through the Tee nut.
2011-11-01gene baugh: I agree that the threads go all the way through the barrel but the depth of the thread as measured across the barrel dia looks light when viewing the picture. Are the threads std. depth as specified by SAE
2011-10-31GEORGE ALLRED: not sure what "full depth" means. The threads are the length on the nut, so longer bolt goes through to the other side.
2011-09-21GUIDO SANITUCH asked: What are the complete dimensions for this T-Nut?
+Expand Answers
2011-09-23TERREL THORNTON: The base is 3/4" in diameter and 3/64" thick. The "barrel" is 1/4" diameter and 5/16" tall, from the underside of the base to the top of the barrel; it is tapped for a #10X24 machine screw. The "prongs" are 1/4" long and 7/64 wide at the bottom; they have the same thickness as the base.
2011-09-24Guido Sanituch: Thankk you
2011-09-21A shopper asked: What is the diameter of the base? I've been tee nuts with a 3/4 inch base.

I like this feature!

2011-09-22DAVE MOUNT: Unfortunately, the SS t-nuts I got are installed in a boat and I'd have to take up the floorboards to measure them (I used them to anchor the bases for some pedestal seats). However, my memory is that the SS nuts I got looked just like the regular steel ones you buy at the hardware store, I'm guessing they'd be the same diameter. Sorry I can't be of more help.
2011-09-23CHARLES RANCK: Tee nut for 1/4 - 20 screw
Top of "T" is 3/4 inch across. Pilot hole is 5/16 inch.
Comments about Jamestown Distributors S/S Tee Nuts:
We needed stainless steel t-nuts to go with the stainless steel bolts we use in our boat seats. To use non-SS t-nuts would cause dissimilar metals corrosion and the bolts would become impossible to remove without cutting them. We were thrilled to find that you carried what we needed!

Comments about Jamestown Distributors S/S Tee Nuts:
This product is the best, especially for the non rust use of them in water. I use these SS T-Nuts along with SS Srews to attach the treated/marine plywood to the transom of my small aluminum boats.

Comments about Jamestown Distributors S/S Tee Nuts:
Tee nuts are a great tool for fastening but generally hard to find in stainless. I used them to rebuild seats that originally used cheap steel and these were easy to use and did a fine job.
