    Comments about Weldwood Resorcinol Glue:

I used it to build a teak swim platform for a ski boat. Teak is used for marine applications because of its oily nature and Resorcinol held it together. I had up to three people sitting on the platform hanging out in the water all day and never heard a snap, crackle or pop.

      Comments about Weldwood Resorcinol Glue:

If it can hold together multiple laminations of different wood types on a 70 pound longbow I think it should be suitable for most other wood to wood applications.

      Comments about Weldwood Resorcinol Glue:

I'm working with oak and every expert says that most epoxys should not be used with oak. Resorcinol is the best alternative.

The product was simple to use and the cleanup with water was great.

A little expensive when compared to epoxy but well worth the extra cost.

      Comments about Weldwood Resorcinol Glue:

This product has been around for a long time and it compares well with epoxies but (admirably) it has longer pot and curing times. I use this for assembling wooden overhead hoists in my shop for turning larger hulls. Also, I've used it with good results on cradles under boats that have been turned. It's messy and very dark colored, but the messiness is reduced by using silica powder additive, or microballoons. At current prices, I think it is a bargain when a top of the line epoxy is not necessary.
