Questions & Answers about Tyvek Poly-Coated Suits:
2012-02-11A shopper asked: Is this a dispoable suit or can it be uses over and over??
+Expand Answers
2012-02-13STEVE NETT: The suit is pretty durable, you should be able to use it over and over again. A great product for the price.
2012-02-13VANESSA WHITE: Hi, Jamestown shoppers.
I purchased two Tyvek suits to use while glassing stage props. We found the suits to be fairly durable and reusable, to the point where they got too gunked out to wear. In other words, they performed well, lasted days and days until the project was finished, and were ready to be trashed when we were done.
Hope this helps.
John
2012-02-13JAMES WHITE: It can be used over and over. I have used the same suits for more than a year in my bedliner shop, despite tearing menay holes in the suit.
Warning... It does not breathe and is very hot in the summer. It is great in the winter because it keeps us warm. We have a cooling vest that we have to wear in the summer to avoid overheating and dehydration.
2012-02-13BRIAN HAKALA: It is disposable, but you can get 7 or 8 uses out of each suit depending on how neatly you paint and how hot it is outside. This suit is really resistant to paint getting through it, but it is also quite warm in the summer. It is much stronger material than many white painting suits.
2012-02-14JOSEPH DWYER: With care, it will stand up to several uses, tyvek is much more tough than paper suit.
2012-02-17REBECCA PIERCE: This suit is reusable. Do not dispose of unless it's showing signs of wear and tear. I've used mine a few dozen times and it's still very ready to use again. Be warned, use these suits somewhere well ventilated with cool air. You can overheat in them easily, wearing light pants and a t-shirt underneath.
