2012-03-01JOHN MARSE asked: When using the paper dust bag, am I correct in assuming that the felt bag hanging from the rim should not be used?

2012-03-01KARLA GAGNON: You are assuming correctly John. It's either/or, so if the paper is what you are using for fine particulates, you don't use the felt.

2012-03-02SUSAN BISGYER: I believe that is correct. Although it has been some time since we first started using our Fein Vacuum and I am not sure of reasons for our setup, we have never used the felt bag. We use the paper dust bags and pleated core for dry vacuuming and the foam one for wet. We have been very happy with it over the five or so years we have had it. The only drawback is that they seem to have discontinued manufacturing the paper bag that fits our vacuum, so we have to buy one a size smaller and replace it somewhat more often. Not a big deal, but, had I known, I'd probably have gotten the smaller vacuum.
2012-03-02RICHARD WALKER: The Fein paper dust bags are quite effective in containing most dust. Wanting additional filtration, I've tried using a canister filter in combination with the paper dust bags for extra protection from sanding dust and found only slight discoloration on the canister filter on the side against the paper dust bag. The canister filter, however, tends to obstruct normal expansion and filling of the paper dust bag. I've never tried using the cloth filter bag with the paper dust bags but with it's wire bottom support, suspect it also would obstruct the paper bags expansion. Fein probably never intended that they be used together, however, extra filtration is not a bad thing.
2011-09-26A shopper asked: will these bags fit the Fein Turbo vaccum 9.20.24 ?

2011-09-27CHARLES RAMSBERGER: My mod is 9-11-55. see if same part # 913038k01.
2011-09-28RICHARD WALKER: I've used these bags effectively in containing dust from indoor sanding using tools with dust collectors. The bags work fine, avoiding the messy job of emptying the cloth filter bag. They are worth the cost to keep things clean when working in a living space or in the shop.
Comments about Fein Paper Dust Bag for Turbo I Vacuum:
These really keep the mess contained, especially when cleaning up after nasty jobs like grinding fiberglass. The bags have excellent capacity and are easy to use. When you're finished just pop it out, close the flap, and throw it away. These are especially useful in conjunction with dustless tools. I used this for several years with a random orbital sander when sanding bottom paint.
