Y-10 Fiberglass Stain Remover is a unique stain absorbing gel that serves a variety of purposes. Ideal for removing oil, rust, exhaust, waterline and transom stains. Also for shower stalls and furniture made of fiberglass.
Its non-abrasive quality means that it's safe to use on white painted surfaces as well as on gel-coat. Just be sure to test a small area first to be sure Y-10 will not damage the finish. This product requires no sanding or compounding, and can simply be applied with a brush, sponge or cloth. Wait a few minutes and then wipe or rinse off.

Questions & Answers about Y-10 Fiberglass Stain Remover:
2013-02-11A shopper asked: The white fiberglass that I need to remove stains from has some teak strips running along the floorboards and seats. Will it harm the teak?

2013-02-20CAROL DAVIS: I doubt it very seriously, but since I only used it on the fiberglass, I cannot say for sure. Did not seem that toxic.
2013-02-20PATRICK BOLLING: I have never seen it used on teak or used it on teak, so I personally would be careful. Perhaps call the manufacturer.
2013-02-20BRIAN MAW: I have never used the product near teak, so I can't answer your question with first hand knowledge. Since it does contain oxalic acid, there is a possibilty that it will bleach the teak lighter, but it shouldn't harm the wood.
2013-02-20DOUG LOWE: I only use it on the outside of my hull because it is pretty strong. My guess is that it could harm your teak.
2011-10-06A shopper asked: Wood stain got on my tub 15 years ago. I have not found anything I trust to not hurt finish or color. will this product work for me?

2011-10-06DALE BROWN C/O SUZLON WIND ENERGY: We here at Suzlon use Y-10 on fiberglass and painted fiberglass with no damage of any kind. I cant speak to wood stain but it does a great job remvin rust stains in both paint and fiberglass and it's the only thing that worked for us on these turbine projects.
2011-10-06DOUG LOWE: Tough call, Y-10 will probably remove the stain but I am not 100% on the finish or color. The product is great but I make sure to only use it once a year on my boat because it is strong and I fear if I use it too often it will begin to remove the gel coat.
2011-10-06PETER BYVOETS: i used it on a waterline (yellow) stain on my sailboat...did a very good job. did not hurt the bootstripe. did not hurt the gelcoat.
if you are concerned then mask off a small square in an inconspicuous spot. and try it. product does not need to sit long. use a rough texture cloth to do the scrubbing. no scour pads or the like...i recommend finishing with a good wax as a stain must have opened up some pores or there would be no stain.
2011-10-07FRANK STURGES: I've found Y-10 to be very effective on my fiberglass boat for removing rust and other type stains. I don't think it will hurt to try on a tub (fiberglass or ceramic finish).
2011-10-07CAROL DAVIS: Works well on mildew stains and salty dirt accumulation on white fiberglass sailboat. Not at all sure about effectiveness on porcelain but would not hesitate to try it.
2011-10-11ARTHUR PETTIT: I used Y-10 Fiberglass stain remover to clean very difficult rust/tannin stains from the gelcoat bottom of my sailboat. It worked very well if brushed on and given sufficient time to work. It did not harm the gelcoat. I cannot say if it would work on 15 year old stain but it might be worth a try.
2011-10-11STEVEN LAYTON: Unfortunetly, I dont think it will get rid of wood stain. It cant hurt to try though. I know it wont hurt the surrounding fiberglass even if you leave it on for an extended period of time. The upside is that I use this to clean our bathtub and shower stall now and it gets it spotlessly clean. FYI it is the exact same thing as FSR but a little cheaper.

I apply it with a gloved hand, smear it on, wait until the stain is removed and spray off with a hose. Then wipe with a cotton towel.

Used to haul-out boats every fall, would just amaze the customers with a quick wipe down of the water-line. Looks like new! Got some big tips for pulling Y-10 out of my tool-box.
