Camp Zinc Pencils for marine engines contain pure zinc with brass hex plugs. These anodes typically thread into a port on the raw seawater side of a heat exchanger.
Routine replacement of pencil anodes will greatly extend the life of marine engine coolant systems. The majority of inboard and stern drive engines will benefit from a fresh set of zinc anodes. Pencil zincs provide cathodic protection when in contact with seawater.

Questions & Answers about Camp Pencil Zinc Anodes with Brass Cap:
2011-10-31A shopper asked: When removing old zinc from after cooler the brass head removed , but the old anode remained in and I cannot remove it. By replacing just the brass head will I still have protection until the old zinc finally is used up??
Engine is cumming 6 CTA 8.3 m2 kept in salt water.
