The description for the switch you will need for a trim tab arrangement is an "ON momentary" "OFF" "ON momentary" three position switch. With this configuration the switch will spring back to the off position when you let it go. Get a toggle boot to weather-proof the switch if it is exposed to the elements. JTD has these components.

2013-01-30ROBERT COVER: I believe that you woud need a three position switch. One that is off in the middle and on (stay on) in the other two positions. The switch I received was offmiddle, momentary on the other positions. One side wired to 12 volt and the other side 24.

2012-03-14STEVEN CRANDALL: I purchased the TG40160-1 which has 3 spade terminals. The power supply terminal in the center right and the 2 load terminals {1 on top right (Mom. ON) and 1 on the bottom right (ON)}.

This is the switch needed for anchor and navigation lights. With a simple jumper you can set it for both on - both off or just anchor light on. Product seems ok but only time will tell. It was easy to install and served its purpose! Make sure it is double pole double throw. That is the one needed for nav and anchor lights!
