I'm using these brackets to create hinges for a ramp to launch/store a dinghy. You use 2 brackets plus a 1/2" hex cap screw for each "hinge". This ramp, which is ladder-shaped, has rollers to ease dinghy movement and a 5-gallon jerry can at the water end to support it in variable-height water.
