My 1983 starcraft center console, normally used in Michigan, finally got too much salt water in it on our last trip to florida, and the cable steering bonded in the outboard pivot tube. I am still beaming over the Teleflex Rack steering that installed perfectly, and at a low price i still can't see how they offer. Also retrofitted a Teleflex throttle/shifter last year that is excellent. The old Aluminum boat provides so much trailering flexibility for our fishing, kite surfing, and exploring - we are happy to know it is mechanically sound for another few decades.
