The Festool TS 55 plunge-cut saw and guide rail system provides straight, splinter-free cuts on both sides of the blade right out of the box. Unlike conventional pendulum-cover circular saws, Festool's design allows the saw blade to retract into the housing giving you the option to start and end the cut accurately anywhere on the material.
No maneuvering unwieldy material through the table saw and no need for a home-made jig. The guide rail stays put without clamping and lets you focus on the cut. It's simple, fast and effective, whether for trimming a door or cutting large sheet goods to size.
