2013-04-05CLARK MIDDLETON: i would not sugest that use for these hinges. saloon door hinges have an inclined plane built into the knuckle to self close. these hinges do not.
The Murray bronze hinges really are several notches above the usual brass units. Bronze means that you can use them around salt water with no problems. They make it very easy to remove doors or engine boxes for access yet keep them secure when underway. Kinda pricey, but quality stuff.
