Just in time for the busy spring Brightwork season is a return of Epifanes Varnish Kit. The #1 Kit features a case (6 cans) of Epifanes CV-1000 Gloss Clear Varnish (1000 mL, 1 L, which equals about 1.3 gallons) plus included is a free Epifanes #14 Round Varnishing Brush. CV-1000 is a high quality marine spar varnish. It offers superior protection in all climates. Chinese Tung oil based and non-yellowing alkyd and urethane resins, in addition to UV inhibitors, provide for the long lasting and sun-protective finish. This varnish is proven to last 2 to 3 times longer than its competition.
Recommended Film Thickness: Per coat wet - 50 micron / Per coat dry - 30 micron
Application: Brush, roller, conventional air spray, HVLP
Temperatures should be between 50 degrees F and 85 degrees F for application, with air humidity below 85 percent. Avoid varnishing in too much sun or wind, a rapid loss of solvents will occur under these conditions and will decrease the flowing ability. Epifanes Clear Gloss Varnish is compatible with most other types of one-component alkyd or urethane based varnishes and over two-component varnishes.

Epifanes varnish is the finest varnish on the market for durability, brightwork etc. But it would be a good idea to include the round brush advertised in the quart kit rather than include an inexpensive bristle less tool that falls apart when priming the brush. The brush was worthless and totally fell apart!

The product gives good coverage and flows eveny under good temperatures. If needed, add some thinner to get even coverage.
