Due to the demand of Epifanes Kit 1 in years past, this year we have introduced the more bang for your buck Epifanes Kit 2 (EPF-KIT2). It comes with the same Epifanes #14 Round Varnishing brush, but you get a case (2 Cans) of Epifanes CV5000 Clear Gloss Varnish(EPF-CV5000), or over 2.2 gallons of varnish. The savings is greater and you get the same, high quality marine spar varnish as the other kit.
Chinese Tung oil based and non-yellowing alkyd and urethane resins, in addition to UV inhibitors, provide for the long lasting and sun-protective finish. This varnish is proven to last 2 to 3 times longer than its competition.
Recommended Film Thickness: Per coat wet - 50 micron / Per coat dry - 30 micron
Application: Brush, roller, conventional air spray, HVLP
Temperatures should be between 50 degrees F and 85 degrees F for application, with air humidity below 85 percent. Avoid varnishing in too much sun or wind, a rapid loss of solvents will occur under these conditions and will decrease the flowing ability. Epifanes Clear Gloss Varnish is compatible with most other types of one-component alkyd or urethane based varnishes and over two-component varnishes.
