Taurus cleats are made of high-gloss polished 316 stainless steel. With the exception of model Taurus06, all cleats are tapped on the underside to conceal fasteners under deck. Model Taurus06 has 4 countersunk holes in the base plate to accept M12 fasteners.

2011-08-09Jack Mann: Taurus cleats use metric fasteners that are bolted from the bottom. Depending on the cleat uses bolts size that varies from M8 to M16. The Taurus06 is the exception and uses 4 M12s and is bolted from the top.
2011-08-03A shopper asked: I want to mount 2 cleats 1 each at the outer edges of a teak and FG swim platform.
At it's thinnest width it is 9 1/2 inches thick. My concern is how to mount them i.e. so female threads could be extended and nuts/washers could beaffixed to a mounting plate underneath and out of sight ?
