The approximate length of the handle is 6-8". This item is relatively inexpensive but because the nozzle system is made of plastic and not too sturdy, it has already broken and I will not replace it with this product. I have installed an expander to the 1/2 in thread and attached a standard size pistol grip nozzle for a regular garden hose and it is working OK--functionally, if not aesthetically! Hope this helps!

2013-05-17ALLEN SCHWANKE: Approximately 8", handles installed on boat now which is in it's dock right now, so I can't give an exact measurement. I will say it fit my needs perfectly and performs great. Price was fair, shipping costs made it high.

Perfect replacement for the older and smaller shower head. This one is larger with better ergonomics for an easier shower time. Fits inside the same shower box.
