New England Ropes STA-Set X line is a patented all polyester braid with a parallel core design. Constructed with a filament/spun cover for improved handling and greater abrasion resistance, STA-Set X has 30 percent less stretch and 20 percent greater strength than other polyester ropes (size for size).
In many applications, Sta-Set X can be used in lieu of expensive racing braids, especially when sized conservatively. Soft cover improves grip in the hand and on a winch. Best uses include cruising boat halyards, spinnaker sheets, and more.
