The GlobalFix iPRO is also the first EPIRB that features Dual GPS Technology. These devices can be paired with on-board GPS equipment to ensure that your LAT/LON is stored inside, and is transmitted in the first data burst. The iPRO's internal GPS is specifically designed for cold starts, and is calibrated at ACR's GPS Simulation Center so that it will pinpoint exact locations faster than the competition, allowing you to be rescued quicker.
Ther IPRO 406 gps epirb is available in Category I (Automatic Hydrostatic Release) and Category II (Manual Detachment Release) versions.

Online registration can be used like a float plan, and supplies essential vessel description, number of passengers and contacts that aid in your own recovery. It also assists the Coast Guard in validating authentic distress signals.
