KiwiGrip rollers let you vary the texture of Kiwigrip non skid coating, from fine to aggressive depending on the amount of surface traction desired.
Loopy Goopy rollers are unique and proprietary to KiwiGrip, and the only type of their kind available. Choose from 4 inch and 9 inch sizes. For best results, the 4 inch size is recommended. However, the larger size works well on larger boats.

Questions & Answers about KiwiGrip Rollers:
2012-04-09A shopper asked: Does the 4" roller frame come with the 4" roller or do they have to be ordered separately? Also, will this work well with interlux non skid paint?
+Expand Answers
2012-04-09TERRY FREEMAN: order the frame and roller seperate. The rollers are a little delicate, if Interlux is not water based, I would say it's not compatable.
2012-04-09BRETT STEVENSON: I ordered the 9" roller cover, so I'm not sure what comes with the 3". I have not tried them with the Interlux non-skid, but the Kiwi-Grip is VERY thick, like frosting. I imagine the Interlux is thinner, more like paint with particles in it. Therefore, I would hesitate to recommend this for your application.
2012-04-09MICHAEL BYRNES: Roller frame did not come with the roller. I am unsure if there is a 4 inch roller available. I know there is a 3 and a 6. But any 3 inch roller from a hardware store will work...at least it did for me. The Kiwigrip "paint" is a yogurt consistancy which is why the textured rollers work to create the non skid surface. I don't know if interlux is that viscous a paint. If it is and is NOT self leveling then it may work.
The kiwigrip paint is the bomb!! Worth every cent. Amazing stuff as far as application. If it holds up as easy and amazing at it went on then great.
2012-04-09BRUCE ARTMAN: I don't think this would work at all with the Interlux product. The KiwiGrip product is more like gel toothpaste than paint which is why the roller works.
2012-04-10MARK ROUND: Kiwi Grip includes a roller but no frame. Just the roller.
2012-04-10RICHARD WILKER: KiwiGrip roller covers are specifically designed to give texture to the thick KiwiGrip paint, and I do not expect that they will work well with other paints.
2012-04-10MATTHEW ERICKSON: I believe the roller handles are sold separately than the rollers. The roller handles are however the same size that you would find at a home improvement store or any painting store for hollow rollers. No, this kiwi grip roller should be used only with kiwi grip non skid paint. The paint itself is of a yogurt like consistency. You spread it on with a spatula like icing on a cake. Then you take the textures roller and roll it over to apply the texture to the painted surface. The harder and faster you roll, the more aggressive the finish job will be. Make sure to tape off your edges. Remember to remove the tape within 4 minutes of finishing the rollover because this stuff hardens quickly. It takes a few days to cure up and be completely ready for rugged or race like conditions.
2012-04-11EDWARD CRAWFORD: No frame comes, its just the roller. The roller will not work with Interlux non-skid paint. Interlux uses a grit which creates the non-skid and is best applied with a foam roller. Kiwigrip is a gel that the roller creates a texture in for non skid effect.
2012-04-12LEONARD AIKENS: As I recall, the roller frame did not come with the roller. I am @95% certain on that one.
Whether or not the roller will work with a different manufacturers product..., I am not going to even speculate.
2011-07-08JOAN CONOVER asked: We are looking at using kiwigrip--is this product affect (can you say MELTS) when diesel fuel is spilled on it? Found one prodcut that sounded good..but since it melts dissolves..not good for a sailboat with a diesel fill on the deck...
The product seems to apply as advertised, but I have not put it to the test yet. I wanted to comment on Jamestown's excellent customer service. My little quart arrived broken open and a sticky, gooey mess in a box. Clearly a shipping issue. I called JD to discuss and without delay, they sent me a new quart AND an extra roller cover! Thank you for attention to such a small order! Since before the web, when snail mail was the only option, I have purchased everything from silicon bronze screws to a spoke shave from JD and they are consistently stellar. Thanks again!

Comments about KiwiGrip Rollers:
I spread kiwi with a throw away brush first then roll it out. I like my finished deck but the roller fell apart after 1st coat. I should have bought a few. I would still recommend it because it creates a nice surface & you can control the texture you want. It's not as aggressive as I thought, and we'll see how long it holds up. All in all so far I'd buy it again. Easy application. Hope it holds.

Comments about KiwiGrip Rollers:
Need to apply KiwiGrip thickly and then roll it out. Be careful with later applications since the old paint dries quickly in the roller and then blobs onto the new surface.
