FLIR's First Mate is a hand-held thermal imaging camera that offers high-performance at a low cost. It provides every mariner with the power to see at night like never before, navigate with confidence anywhere, and at any time.

First Mate can be mounted on your boat, or held in your hand providing you with "go-anywhere", portable thermal night vision. As well, the long battery life doesn't require an vessel power supply.

The First Mate uses a 240 x 180 thermal imaging core, and provides four times the image clarity and detail of earlier systems. The advanced image-processing algorithms produce crisp, clear thermal video day and night, in good or bad weather.

Still Image Capture - Allows officers to capture and store thermal images in JPEG format on a removable SD card with the touch of a button. A 1 GB SD card will hold up to 20,000 320 x 240 JPEG images

Real-time Clock - Encodes the date and time on captured still images and video

SD Card Slot - Allows for easy field upgrades and the storage of captured still images and video evidence on the removable SD card

USB2 Connection - Rapid transfer of still images and video from the H-Series to a PC
