The Maxwell HWC 1500 Double Chain Wheel Windlass has fully automatic single or dual direction chainwheel operation. Designed for hauling chain-only anchor rodes, and offers an independent capstan for retrieving secondary ropes and chain rodes, or to help assist during difficult docking situations.
The option of dual anchoring is enabled by a smooth independent control of each chainwheel via a cone clutch. Cone-type clutch/brake mechanism also permits manual 'free fall' anchoring in the event of a power loss or other emergency situation. Cone clutches, unlike dog clutches, provide smooth progressive engagement ensuring safe and precise operator control.
Simple deck mount installation means no under deck parts. Maintenance is simplified with the ability to strip the running gear from the windlass without disturbing the mount.

The HWC 1500 is heavy duty, with a dual direction motor, designed specifically for marine winches. Chainwheel and warping drum are made of high-quality chrome finish over marine-grade bronze. Marine-grade alloy casing pretreated, powder coated and finished with a two component white polyurethane paint.
Kit Includes:
the windlass with motor, an on/off breaker panel, a reversing solenoid, two black covered foot switches, an up/down panel switch and a handle.
