Spinlock's BRS Range Jammer Block is ideal for applications where a fixed deck block is not suitable. Examples include peeling spinnakers, or changing a sheet winch.
BRS jammer blocks take up no deck space and can conveniently be repositioned on the toe rail or a pad eye because it has its own webbing strop. Installing one often saves the weight and cost of an extra winch or clutch when you park the line on a block.
BRS cam action is preset with 3 key features: the lock-back, so the cam stays clear of the sheet when it is not needed, auto release, so that the locked cam springs clear of the line for free run out after the sheet is retensioned, and friction phase, so that even if the sheet goes slack or is out of use when the cam is engaged, the cam stays engaged.
