2011-10-24LARS LUTTON: Firstly - I have no experience with rock cod- I Bought a SX 5.6 - my 2nd - if you fish the NW, the fish may Be very deep, in FL inshore we're only fishing in 40 feet of water max, most of the time - for depth you might want the dual speed retrieve to get your terminal tackle Back to the Boat quicker? They also make a model specifically for jigging- But I think it may have a diminished capacity for line-sorry I can't do Better- you may want to get on their weBpage, they are excellent reels-LL
