Avet's MXJ 6/4 compact two-speed jigging reels are castable yet still hold enough line to land big fish. Slightly larger than the SX , the "J" of the MX series has a narrow spool which is easy to thumb while casting.
These small powerful reels are built in the USA from Aircraft grade billet aluminum that's precision machined to minimal tolerances, ensuring exceptional smoothness and lasting durability. Both models feature a water resistant dry drag system that stays smooth even if splashed during the fight.
Also available is the MXJ-MC, which has the cast control feature that allows you to customize the spool speed to your experience level, minimizing backlashes. The MC control can also be used as a line out adjustment for your bait when live lining.

Questions & Answers about Avet MXJ 2-Speed Reels:
2013-03-24BRIAN B asked: what about lubrication? any problems?
+Expand Answers
2013-03-28Kerry Souza: There have not been any complaints about lubrication. If your a commercial fisherman you will most likely want to lube the gears every 3 months or so if your an average joe you can get away with lubing every year or so since your not using it as often as a commercial fisherman. other than that you should just wash it out after every use in saltwater with freshwater. Thanks.
