This reel lasted as long as my Revo saltwater baitcaster at 1/4 the price. Same problem. After a few months the spool doesn't engage when you turn the handle. You have to manually lift the bar up which to me is anoying. Also it gets corroded in no time, even after rincing with fresh water each time. Buy something else. I have no suggestions, as I'm looking now too.
