Comments about Ande Tournament Graphite Surf Rods:
I was looking for an inexpensive solid rod for using on my kayak. I had to cut the handle shorter, so I did not want to buy an expensive rod like I would normally do. This has performed well for this situation. No casting needed. It has the type of handle that was easy to cut short and re-attached the end knob. It is relatively short and sturdy which is required for landing stripped bass on a kayak.

Comments about Ande Tournament Graphite Surf Rods:
I purchased the 9ft medium action rod. This is a basically good jetty spinner for blues, stripers, and anything in fast water. It's a bit stiff but that can be advantageous with a pulling current. You're not fishing for perch here but for fish that set their own hook. Nibble away on an Ugly Stik! It's basically a hollow glass two piece but with the strength and some of the flex of a medium modulus graphite blend. But.....the price cannot be beat. It's better than half the price of my Tica and a fifth of the cost of my St Croix. But.....it gets the job done when finesse is not the rule of the day.
