Bronze Seacocks by Buck Algonquin are built with a Bronze body. The sea cocks have a hard chromed bronze ball, teflon rings, U.L. labeled, vinyl coated stainless steel handle that rotates 1/4 turn "On" and 1/4 turn "Off". Triangular base.

2012-09-25RALPH COHEN: Afraid I don't understand the application. I installed seacock in the hull of my boat and connected one to the galley sink and the other to the cockpit drain.
There is an excellent detail and article in Wooden Boat magazine a couple issues back. Basically, you need a piece of wood to backup the seacock on the inside of the hull and the threaded part that passes thru the hull must be trimmed (cut) to the correct length so that the seacock flange is tight against the wood backup block. The seacock flange is through bolted to the wooden backup block and not the hull. Use lots of caulk.

Buck Algonquin seacocks are well made hardware. I only use seacocks for below waterline thru hulls. Ordinary ball valves are a poor substitute and will not properly engage the straight threads of a typical thru hull. I don't believe in trying to cheap out this type of install.
