The ease of application with its forgiving drying speed and then simple water clean up is truly phenomenal.

During the season scum-scrubs were easy and almost no color migration into the water or onto hands or pads.

The Top-Tracer coat hardly even ablated from June to November even with mid season scrubs and especially the waterline.

I was not present when hauled and pressure washed but the usual remaining dried scum under the straps was maybe less or the same as normal. The bottom truly looks ready to launch, as is, next June and that too is phenomenal. I just have to pop app 10-12 barnacles off . . . . .

Exceptionally glad I tried this product and highly recommend for our bay.

I've used Interlux Micro since 1986 and all it ever took to clean the bottom was a soft deck brush with soap and water. Tried this paint to save a buck- awful. The slime layer was so bad I had to scrape first then scrub with the most abrasive pad I could find. Nightmare. The boat is moored on the Nantucket Sound side of Cape Cod where the water can reach nearly 80 degree in the bays during high summer. Perhaps not the best warm water paint. Product is very thin and goes on easily but fearing I did not apply enough paint I doubled the number of coats, using over 2X the amount of paint compared to the Micron. Despite this, it was still a disaster. Not much fun crawling in and around the trailer of an 18 foot center console cleaning the bottom. Label says low VOC so I went without the respirator at first but quickly had a splitting headache after 10 minutes when applying it outdoors. I recommend wearing a respirator. In the end between the extra time cleaning the bottom and the extra paint, it was not worth the cost difference. Maybe you'll have better results in cooler water or in a different location.

Comments about TotalBoat Jamestown Select Ablative Bottom Paint:

been sailing for 20+ years and had the the most bottom growth and the most difficult job cleaning the hull. Boat was in Bass River, Nantucket Sound for 2 1/2 months. The initial build up of undesirable growth during the first month, when the water was coolest, was surprising.

Based on my experience, you may have to be " selective" about the environment/water in using this product?

Shark White more like Shark Grey

Just a quick note that the Shark White color is actually more of a Shark Grey with streaks of White. It does provide a 'Shark Skin' appearance, it is just more grey with white streaks instead of the white with grey streaks that I expected. Overall, I am happy with the results and ease of use, just wanted to mention as it could throw off your color scheme.

Needed three coats to cover, however probably would have only taken two coats if roller tipped. No performance info, boat not in water yet. If works well, will use again.

It seems as good as Interlux ACT and has multi season protection.
The remaining paint was not stored indoors and dried up. This year I will keep it from freezing and hope it does not dry out.

Used as bottom paint on 43' trawler in mid-Potomac area; usually use top of line high copper ablative solvent paint-- $200+/gal; this was much easier to apply and has higher coverage; water clean-up is easy provided it is accomplished while paint is wet and fresh. At 7 knots speed and only modest cruising use, it should easily meet the multi-year duration; if not, cheaper initial cost will be eaten-up by another $600+ haul cost. Consequently, real test will be whether it lasts 2 years. In either case, in this area the next paint job will probably have to be without copper and solvent.
