2012-12-28FRANKLIN HOLLEY: there is nothing to attach to the boat. it just hangs over the side of the gunnel in the water after your done just stow it on the deck or where ever you can.
make sure that you check the with of the gunnel to the ladder
2012-12-31MATT BRUNO: They hook on the sides of the boat, it is a temporary ladder that is removeable. When you are ready to use it, just take it out and hang it off the side of the boat to climb in the water. Do not run the boat when this ladder is in the water, it can fall off easily and you can lose it.

Comments about Garelick - Deluxe Boarding Ladders:
What I didn't like about this particular product: 1. I got 3 step ladder - this is way too short (should have gotten 4 step ladder instead); 2 - protective rubber/plastic coating on the hooks that grab the side of the boat worn out after couple of uses. 3. Little foldable "feet" in the middle of the ladder that prop against the side of the boat, collapse to easy on their own which is a pain. Pros - light, easy to store, easy to use, floats on the water.
