It's not exactly a tool, nor is it exactly a piece of jewelry. It came on a nice chain, has the bubble directional and an interesting tilt so that you look at it straight on when you hold the pendant. I got it for my college-age niece who loves it. I'm sorry I didn't order the 30" chain, but she likes the 24" chain.
