Interlux VC Tar2 2-component epoxy primer provides osmosis protection for GRP (fiberglass) boats and anti-corrosive protection to steel and alloy surfaces. Interlux stipulates that VC Tar2 primer be used below the waterline only.

VC Tar 2 uses the latest technology to provide a smooth, self-leveling, below-the-waterline primer with a good water barrier for protection from, or repair of osmotic blisters on fiberglass hulls. VC Tar 2 is also an excellent anticorrosive primer for use on all underwater metals, including bronze, stainless steel, lead, cast iron and aluminum.
VC Tar 2 is the recommended primer for use under VC17m thin film Teflon antifouling paints because it can be applied more smoothly than other types of epoxy which reduces or eliminates sanding time.
