I bought this antenna and mounted it on the port side of the 16' Fish and Ski boat that I have. I run the boat on Lake Lanier out of Buford, GA and I
can pull in stations from Georgia, Tennesee and South Carolina on my
AM/FM marine radio. It's an outstanding antenna and certainly for the money. I don't think you would have a problem with this antenna in your installation.

I purchased this to replace a metal sectional antenna on my 20' bay boat. I was looking for an antenna that had minimal exposed metal to prevent rust/corrosion and one that had a small profile. This unit appears to be well designed and was easy to install. It appears to receive as well as the old one. If you are installing as a replacement, you made need a backer washer as the unit does not come with one. I used a SS 5/16" x 1 1/2" fender washer which worked perfectly.
