The 6" Titan 2 abrasive discs now feature the next generation Multi-Jetstream design that incorporates a modified 17-hole pattern that increases airflow, and results in even better dust extraction efficiency.

In addition, the new pads incorporate an enhanced, heat-resistant StickFix design, extending both pad and abrasive life considerably.

The new Multi-Jetstream design is 100% compatible with the previous pad design, and vice-versa. The new abrasives work seamlessly with the old pads, and the old abrasives are adaptable to the new pads.

Titan 2 removes microscopic surface irregularities; this saves time and results in a perfectly flat surface.

Titan 2 abrasives are used for fillers, finishes, solid surfaces, plastics and fiberglass.

Titan 2 abrasive is suitable for use with a variety of materials; Solid Surfaces, Plastics, Fiberglass, Composites, Fillers and Finishes.

Important: Due to stearated coating, do not use Titan 2 on wood, use Brilliant 2 instead.

APPLICATIONS:

Solid Surface: (P40 - P60 - heavy duty) (P80 - P120 - coarse sanding) (P150 - P180 - intermediate) (P220 - P1200 - semi-gloss) (P3000 - high gloss finish)

  • Use Titan 2 P40 to P60 when scribing to fit.
  • Use Titan 2 P80 to P120 for sanding glue lines and seams.
  • Use Titan 2 P80 to P220 for a matte finish; end with Vlies.
  • For semi-gloss, high-gloss or a mirror finish, sand from Titan 2 P80 up to P400 and finish with Platin 2.
  • For solid surface in dark colors, always use two grit steps higher.

    Plastics, Fiberglass, Composites: (P80 - P120 - coarse sanding) (P150 - P180 - intermediate finish) (P220 - P1000 - fine finish) (P3000 - super fine finish)

  • Use Titan 2 P80 to P120 for rapid material removal or rough trimming on plastics and fiberglass repairs. Higher grits improve surface quality.
  • For intermediate sanding begin with Titan 2 P150 to P180.
  • Use Titan 2 P220 to P1000 to achieve a fine finish.
  • Use Titan 2 P3000 for super fine work. Platin 2 will take you up to S4000, after which you can apply polishing compounds with our felts or sponges.

    Fillers & Finishes: (P40 - P60 - heavy duty) (P80 - P120 - coarse sanding) (P150 - P180 - intermediate) (P220 - P1000 - fine finish) (P1200 - P3000 - super fine finish)

  • Titan 2 is excellent for automotive finishes: paints, fillers, primers, lacquers and preferred for all oil-based paints and finishes.
  • Use Titan 2 P40 to P60 for stripping and for rough shaping. Use higher grits to achieve finish quality. For more aggressive removal, see Cristal.
  • Use Titan 2 P80 to P120 to sand down to the surface or for sanding fillers. Provides rapid removal along with improved surface quality.
  • Use Titan 2 P150 to P180 for intermediate sanding of paints and primers; this is sufficient for final finish for most applications.
  • For a finer finish, use Titan 2 P220 to P1000 to achieve superior surface quality. Grits higher than P800 promote smooth underlying surface structures.
  • With Titan 2 P3000, you can sand out dust inclusions and surface imperfections on paints and gel coats.
