Platin 2 abrasive is suitable for use with a variety of materials; Fillers, Finishes, Solid Surfaces, Plastics and Fiberglass.
APPLICATIONS:
Fillers & Finishes:(S400 - S1000 - fine finish) (S2000 - S4000 - super fine finish)
Platin 2 was specifically developed for high gloss finishes. Prep for polishing with pumice and rottenstone. Feather auto-body fillers and prep for paint.
Use Platin 2 S400 to S1000 for fine finishes.
Use Platin 2 S2000 to S4000 for super fine finishes.
Solid Surface: (S400 - S1000 - fine finish) (S2000 - S4000 - super fine finish)
Platin 2 is excellent for finishing solid surface/countertop material.
Begin sanding on solid surface by using Titan 2.
For a semi-gloss finish use Platin 2 S400 (after Titan 2).
Use Platin 2 S500 to S4000 for high gloss finish.
For a mirror finish, go from S500 to S4000 and end with compounds.
For solid surface in dark colors, always use two grit steps higher.
Plastics, Fiberglass: (S400 - S1000 - fine finish) (S2000 - S4000 - super fine finish)
Use Platin 2 S400 to S1000 for matte to semi-gloss finish.
Use Platin 2 S2000 to S4000 to achieve high gloss finish or to prep for polishing.
