Is the "Q" missing from the "FMM 250Q" model number? Buyer beware! In this "Start" version, you are NOT getting the "Q" Quick Release version of the Fein MultiMaster. I had no idea Fein was still selling the non-"Q" version. I've kept the tool as it's just not worth the expense and aggravation to return it. Shame on me for not spotting the "Q" difference, but at the same time, the ad copy could have been clearer. By the way, while Fein blades are outrageously expensive, Bosch now makes universal arbor blades that fit the Fein for about 1/3 the price Fein blades. The Bosch blades are getting good reviews. Bottom line: Be sue to go with the current "FMM 250Q" version of this tool and not the "FMM 250"!

Simply the best small power handtool for the house. Used it often while building my boat and saved me tons of time. Used it to replace window frames and moldings, and again saved me tons of time.

I used the multi-master to trim door frames so I could put new tile in my house. A little expensive, but as I told me wife "If I never use this tool again, it was worth the price."

First use of Multimaster was to remove grout in bathroom tile. Tool worked well, produced a lot less airborne dust than other methods. For long period use it is important to wear good leather gloves as tool gets pretty warm.

I have just removed all the polysulfide caulking in a teak deck with relative ease and most importantly with excellent control and speed. After doing this in the past by hand the hard way this was a dream. The variable speed was a definite plus since slowing it down helps to prevent catching the grain on the edges but still allowing cutting at a good rate.

Bought this to remove the (leaking) teak and mahogany sliding hatch from our sailboat. The e-cut blade did a great job with no collateral damage at all. It was expensive, but I could not find another tool to do this job. Now we use it to sand toe rails (after scraping) and what a difference. I don't ever want to be without this tool.
Not the most used sander in the house. The DeWalt random orbit and the Porter Cable right angle sander both see a lot more hours. But the Fein goes with me to the boatyard every spring and has more than justified the purchase price.
Wish I could have afforded the storage case. The cardboard box this comes in isn't adequate for long. How much more would it have cost them to include a carrying case?

I've been a tile and stone setter for 24 years and wonder how I've gone so long without one of these. I mostly use the abrasive blades for cutting out grout and grinding down thinset. Sure beats using the hammer & chisel or even a scraper.

The Fein MultiMaster FMM 250 is a great tool. It has the use of several tools and takes up little storage space and has plenty of power. Also, there are several accessories for just about any job thinkable. Well worth the price. Would recommend this product to my friends.

After the Dremel, the second most-useful tool you'll ever own is a Multimaster. Dremels are great when rotary is an option, but when plunging or scraping is needed, it's Multimaster to the rescue. I bought Multimaster for my sailboat to a)decaulk, b) separate glued fittings, and c) cut half-inch stainless shrouds in event of demasting. To get the feel of it, I used it at home to relocate an interior door. Multimaster sliced up drywall without harming underlying joists, cut out two joists, and the underlying footing with relative ease. I even used it to sand the new drywall. My Dremel is getting envious :-).
