The Lowrance LST-3800 digital depth finder and temperature gauge comes with a 200 kHz transducer, features deep and shallow alarms and has three main page displays. The LST-3800 can show depth in Meters or Feet, temperature in Fahrenheit or Celsius and its display may be set to rotate between Temperature, Depth or Dual display pages. This unit fits in a standard 2-1/8" (54 mm) hole used by most marine equipment manufacturers.
The LST-3800 is designed to display water depth and surface water temperature, but you MUST have a transducer with built-in temp sensor to receive temperature information.

2011-10-28DENNIS NAPIERALSKI: I replaced the original Lowrance with another Lowrance LST-3800 since it was original manufacturer for ease of installation. It was an easy install but I have no experience since I did the install after pulling the pontoon from the water for the season. I can give a full report next summer.

Not really desinged for commercial use, but more pleasure vessels for simple use. It is a simple unit, I haven't had the chance to use it yet because I had to order extension cables to run the unit from the transom to my console. I have a 40' work boat, it came with about 30' i had to order to more packs to complete the wiring.
