Icom M-504 VHF radio offers a full array of features for commercial and serious recreational marine users. Along with superior VHF radio transmission and reception, M-504 integrates useful features that minimize the need for extra equipment.
The radio accepts a GPS input signal from NMEA compatible GPS receivers to monitor ship position. Class D Digital Selective Calling (DSC) allows ships monitoring channel 70 to program in their unique radio ID for effective emergency management. GPS and DSC integration enables radio users to transmit Position Request and Position Report to nearby ships. This data can be integrated with NMEA compatible navigational instruments. A simple Distress button will broadcast ship position and nature of distress in the event of an emergency.

Intercom mode, hailer mode and a foghorn mode that integrates with compatible on-deck speakers are standard. This eliminates the need for a separate hailer/speaker unit. A large rotary knob quickly switches channels and is displayed on a very large, easy to read LCD screen. M-504 radio also offers programmable channel scan and dual/tri-watch functions.
Tested to withstand submersion up to 1.5 meters for up to 30 minutes.

M-504 Rear panel microphone version With this version, the microphone connector is drawn from the rear panel and a 6.1m (20ft) microphone extension cable is supplied to allow you clean and neat panel installation.
