Position Outline
You will work closely with the Purchasing and Sales teams on a range of projects, focusing on inventory management, profitability analysis and reporting. You will manage the relationship with vendors to forecast needs, ensure adequate stock, and negotiate with suppliers to secure competitive pricing.
Primary Responsibilities
    • Responsible for purchasing and negotiating materials, equipment, and supplies from vendors
    • Evaluate supplier options according to prices, quality etc. and determine the best choices
    • Negotiate terms of agreements to achieve the best deal for our company
    • Ensure the timely delivery of products and compliance with the contracts of purchase
    • Monitor stock levels and make plans for buying within budget
    • Maintain trust relationships with suppliers to promote fair dealing
Desired Qualifications
    • 2-5 years of experience in purchasing or a related field
    • 4 year BA/BS strongly preferred
    • Excellent verbal & written communication skills
    • Proficient in MS Excel, (including vlookups and pivot tables)
    • Ability to work independently and as a team to balance multiple projects and prioritize accordingly
    • Strong analytical skills
    • Experience with marine supplies a plus

Social Media Coordinator / Total Boat Tech Coordinator
Position Outline
This is a unique hybrid role to serve our customers through both social media and as a part of our customer support team, offering direct customer service and support both on the phone and virtually.
Primary Responsibilities

    Social Media Coordinator

    • Establish and develop relationships with potential new customers, maintain and expand relationships with existing customers
    • Convert new customers to TotalBoat product ambassadors
    • Maintain relationship with ambassadors and ensure that adequate content is being supplied via social media channels
    • Develop a strong understanding of customers' needs and the solutions Jamestown Distributors offers
    • Dedicatedly problem solve and provide timely follow up with customers
    • Represent Jamestown Distributors and or TotalBoat in the community, attending boat shows and various public events
    • Assist to develop, implement, and manage our social media strategy utilizing social media platforms such as Instagram, FaceBook, YouTube, etc.
    • Work alongside our ambassadors on the creation of videos, photos and other marketing tools to promote the TotalBoat brand
    • Assist with reporting on metrics for social channels and social media campaigns.

    Total Boat Tech Coordinator

    • Provide customer service and sales for Jamestown Distributors through consumer accounts in a personable manner, with consistent follow up and feedback for all accounts daily.
    • Respond to customer inquiries via inbound phone, chat, and email support.
    • Assure customer satisfaction in all requests, including order status, product specifications and availability, payment terms, sales programs, JD policies, etc.
    • Process customer orders in a timely and accurate manner, verifying and communicating customer information, order and shipping details, and recommending additional items needed for customer’s projects including TotalBoat sales offers.
    • Report any irregularities or potential problems to the Total Support Team Manager.
    • Manage customer service systems daily to ensure that orders are being expedited.
    • Special duties as assigned.
Desired Qualifications
    • Bachelors Degree in Marketing, Social Media Management, or similar field preferred.
    • 2-3 experience working with social media platforms, digital marketing preferred.
    • Candidate must have extensive knowledge of, and proficient in Microsoft Office, Google Suite, Power Point, and social media platforms such as Instagram, Twitter, YouTube, etc.
    • Experience or familiarity with Zendesk a plus.
    • Strong organization and time management skills.
    • Positive “Can-Do” attitude and willingness to continuously learn and be challenged.
    • Excellent written and oral communication skills required.

Position Outline
Reporting to the President, the VP of Finance will work closely with senior management as a key contributor to furthering the strategic and operational financial infrastructure and capabilities to support the growing company. We seek a motivated, hands-on individual with requisite technical accounting and finance skills able to function as a business finance leader that can execute and communicate financial and operational strategies.
Primary Responsibilities
    • Responsible for financial operating statements, budgeting, forecasting, and planning, which includes reporting to the management team.
    • Assuming all high level accounting functions such as cash, payroll, AP/AR, general ledger, audit, tax, and compliance.
    • Recommend benchmarks/metrics for measuring the financial and operating performance of the company and its programs and departments.
    • Lead a team of bright and highly motivated accounting professionals responsible for a full range of financial accounting responsibilities; provide coaching, hiring.
    • Cash projections, capX, loan compliance, banking relations evaluation of direct reports.

Seasonal Warehouse Associate - multiple job openings
Position Outline
The warehouse associate will increase operational efficiency and customer satisfaction by accurately and safely receiving and stocking product, as well as picking, packing and shipping orders. They will also be responsible for inventory control and ensuring that the warehouse is clean and clutter free.
Primary Responsibilities
    • Picking and packing orders daily for UPS/FedEx/USPS/local deliveries.
      • All procedures need to be followed
        • No more than 12 regular orders at a time. Must use totes.
        • Quick picks are a top priority: all pickers are responsible, must be assigned within 30 seconds of notification.
        • Remove all empty boxes in locations while picking.
        • Maintain a picking avg. of 50 Lines per hour.
        • Maintain a packing avg. of 12 orders per hour.
        • Follow any special instructions pertaining to an individual order
        • Continue picking until the end of your shift
        • Assist in shipping as assigned,
        • Assist with locals as assigned.
    • Receive and putaway shipments that come in.
      • Will need to receive for both the warehouse and the store.
    • Report quality or inventory discrepancies to the appropriate person
    • Communicate positively with supervisors and fellow workers.
    • Assist in keeping warehouse clean, neat, safe and operating efficiently.
      • Each team member may be assigned duties and scheduled times for aisle maintenance.
    • Follow all established company policies and procedures.
    • Replenishing of items to be done daily.
    • Ability to frequently lift, push, and slide packages that typically weigh up to 20-25 lbs. Use of hand trucks and assistance available.
    • Ability to stand for extended periods of time.

    ADDITIONAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: - These duties may be assigned to individual employees

    • Supervisor will have a list of items/projects that need to be worked on and the employee(s) will be responsible for getting the task completed in a safe and timely manner.
    • Shippers will need to be trained on the shipping program that the company uses and will be responsible for shipping packages the smartest way.

    We have the following shifts/positions open: These roles are seasonal but can lead to a full time opportunity!

    • Picker/Packer 6 am-2:30 pm M-F 2 positions available
    • Picker/Packer Sunday 9am-4 pm & M-Th 2:30-10 pm with shift differential- 3-4 positions available

Desired Qualifications
    • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent years of experience required.
